Ambassador at large of Antigua and Barbuda

The country’s newly appointed ambassador at large to the Republic of Iraq, His Excellency Walid Khalid Issa Taha has made a significant donation to the Government House Restoration Fund.
Mr. Walid Taha has received his Instrument of Appointment from His Excellency the Governor General Sir. Rodney Williams,
“The Government House has a rich history, and I am very delighted to play a part in having this magnificent edifice transformed to its original beauty. I believe the restoration of Government House will add to the important sites that can be visited by the thousands of tourists who visit this beautiful country on an annual basis,” noted Ambassador at large Walid.
Governor General Sir Rodney Williams thanked Ambassador at large Walid for his contribution and outlined that the restoration program is a special project of his wife Lady Williams and they are determined to have the 17th Century Colonial style structure with Georgian architecture and an extensive garden fully restored.
Ambassador at large Walid is the owner and Chairman of Taha Partners Group, a conglomerate of companies ranging from real estate, construction, oil management, food catering, equipment rental, legal services, energy, communications and tourism. The group’s vision is to rebuild Iraq for a brighter future and functions under the theme of “Failure is not an Option.”
